Recently replaced a UPS. Used a 9617 card we had around, I do not know what UPS the card came out of, but the card worked to setup all our settings minus comms with the UPS (we can telnet/www and ping it).
I put the card into an APC 3000.
Have fixed this before, forgot what file I needed....here is the partial output from the card:

A UPS was found that is not supported by this application. Check the
CD-ROM for the correct application or visit www.apc.com.
If it matters, the UPS is connected to twist lock style connector for power
Any idea what file(s) do I need?

Thanks Terry, I do have this file already, so I have used it before. Thanks again for validating this and providing the link/location info. Will be updating it onsite later this morning. You saved me a call to APC, though have to say I always get someone fairly fast, the rep is always very knowledgable, and its always fixed first time I call.

Looks like it is loaded with the Symmetra 3P firmware. You should download and install the apc_hw02_aos373_sumx372.exe file from APC's main web site (under "Filter by Software / Firmware | Firmware Upgrades - UPS Network Management Card | Network Management Card v3.7.2 Firmware for Smart-UPS with AP9617/8/9"). This is a utility that runs under Windows and loads the new firmware to the card. This file is for Smart-Ups and Matrix-UPS models. There's a third type for Symmetra 1P, but I'm almost certain your UPS isn't a Symmetra.
