940-0299 Cable doesn't connect to Management Card NMC

Has anyone have issues connecting to the UPS NMC via the 940-0299 cable? We have been having successful connections with the basic serial cable (940-0024E), but the using the 940-0299 is stubborn. Any ideas?

Can you be more specific on how the 940-0299 is being stubborn?

Some issues I've seen myself or run into are:

Not fully inserting the 2.5mm TRS connector into the jack or it gets pulled out a little bit (and if you look fast, it looks fully inserted)
People putting screws into the console jack (instead of each side of the faceplate) and damaging the jack
The jack being damaged/loose from the PCB board in general so it does not make a good connection.
