I have a customer who is currently struggling with SNMP reboot functionality on their PDU.
We were told they had a 7932 which integrates into our existing systems however upon inspection it appears to be a 7832.
The whole rpdu section of the MIB (1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.12) appears to be missing when you snmpwalk the unit.
Do the 7832's not support SNMP on/off/reboot functions? I have the rpdu on the latest firmware 3.7.4 and that hasn't helped.
If they don't support it, is there anyway to buy an upgrade for the existing model since it's already in production or is my client basically screwed and needs to swap the whole PDU?
Thanks

That's what we were afraid of.
We'll just upgrade it during their next maintenance window.
Thanks 😃

unfortunately no.
AP78XX units are metered only - meaning it will provide current readings per bank and for the entire PDU. no individual outlet control.
AP79XX units are switched rack - meaning the functionality of AP78XX plus individual outlet control.
the OIDs for AP78XX should come back for metering and current readings under 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.12 if SNMP is set up correctly. the only thing you wouldnt get a response on would be outlet level and control commands.
you'd need a hardware replacement here to get outlet level control unfortunately.
