HI I have been looking for an official document on how to bypass this ups the ups if it has failed. I have searched the fourm to no avail. I would take it that you only have to remove the inlet power to the ups and outlet to the server and connect together, however i am looking for an official document.
Any ideas guys/girls?
Thanks in advance (and my 1st post) 😉

i don't think we have an official guide for doing that on a UPS of this size.
incase of failure though you could get a [small service bypass panel|http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SBP3000] or something similar which is designed to be a full wrap around bypass. it will keep the load powered through the panel and you can remove the UPS without disrupting power if there is a failure. its a very handy device.
if you dont get one and need to remove the UPS, yes turn off the UPS. remove your load from it, remove AC power from the UPS and then power your load via some other method. not sure what else you would need to do.
hope that helps
