Hi,
I have a problem with Smart-UPS RT 3000 RM XL. Management card shows these errors:
In bypass in response to an internal hardware fault.
Inverter fault.
Refused a self-test; UPS is overloaded.
Our syslog has logged these errors:
2009-06-19 17:56:02 User.Critical UPS: The battery power is too low to support the load; if power fails, the UPS will be shut down immediately. 0x0107
2009-06-20 06:18:15 User.Info UPS: A discharged battery condition no longer exists. 0x0108

UPS is not overloaded, load is 40%. Battery voltages is now less than 190 V, usually it has been 208 V, so I think that it is not charging. UPS shows that battery capacity is only 20% (last night it has been 0%).
Does anobody know what those errors mean and what I can do with that?

The inverter (the DC->AC output portion of a double conversion online UPS like yours) has a fault so this is probably tying in somehow to the false overload error. The battery discharged errors just mean that the unit is detecting critically low battery capacity/runtime. If the unit is in warranty our tech support phone representatives can help you get it RMA'd. If not, you may want to consider a Trade-UPS through our sales team for a discount on a new UPS. I do not think that our authorized out-of-warranty repair partner, Coastal Business Machines, will repair an RT, but you can call them and ask.
