Could anyone advise if it's possible to purchase additional battery packs for the APC 2200XL?

For the SUA2200RMI2U/SUA2200RM2U, the internal battery is the RBC43:

Tracked down one of the 2200s we typically use. The model numbers on the back of the UPS are SUA2200RMI2U followed by YS0 3I6LL248 (it was hard to see if the I were either 1s, Is or Ls

Can you provide what the model number is of the 2200XL Smart-UPS?
There are a few different ones available based on the model number of the UPS.

Aled,
When obtaining the model number from the UPS through either Software or Remote interaction, it's going to generalize the family name, so it will tell you something like "Smart-UPS 2200 RM XL". However, in order to determine which battery packs are compatible with your UPS setup, we would need the full model number from the white barcoded sticker on the rear of the UPS.

Hi Kevin,
Many thanks for the information very helpful and quick responses. It's useful to know that the internal batteries can be replaced even if additional batteries cannot be installed. The units we have are now approx 5 years old so the internal batteries are probably in need of replacing now and this could be a better way of spending our money rather than trying to upgrade every single unit to a bigger unit (we have around 30 of them).
We also have a handful of the SU2200RMXLINET units, are additional batteries supported on this unit?

Aled,
Looks like you can use the SU48RMXLBP:
http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SU48RMXLBP
That seems to be the only battery option for the UPS.

Thanks again Kevin, excellent quick response.
It's good to finally find a forum where an honest and accurate answer is provided rather than a supplier insisting we would need to upgrade to x/y or z models.
Would you by chance know the link for the internal battery we would need to order?
Many thanks again.
