Hello,
The batteries needs to be exposed to 2 or 3 charge/discharge cycles to update the battery constant
We recommends to follow the below procedures:
- brain dead the unit after disconnecting the loads to reset the control logic
-Then start up the UPS again and insert the loads (should be min 30 %)
-Ensure you changed the battery replacement date from UPS NMC
-Then perform start up test, once passed
-Leave the batteries to charge for 48 hours
-Then perform runtime calibration test with same 30 % load from the NMC
-Once passed leave the batteries to charge for 24 hours
-Then perform discharge test by disconnecting the UPS input mains with the same 30% load
-Leave the batteries to discharge until the connected loads shutdown even if the battery LED lit up this will allow the controller to update battery runtime constant
-then return back mains to the UPS and let the UPS charge the batteries for 24 hours while maintain the desired load level 30 %
we usually instruct this to our service centers to perform the procedures using load bank or dummy load
