Hello Community
I have a project where the motion will have two jobs:
- Alarm when intrusion system activated (intrusion system)
- control the lights and AC when
I think using the MTN630719 or another SE KNX Motion detector but I know from the manual it's not recommended.
Also, I think installing a separate intrusion system like paradox and integrating it with KNX, but I don't know if it will fulfill the requirements
what do you suggest?

Hello nasser_ic-systems,
the reason why it is not recommended is that you can face false alarms due to a quick temperature change (for whatever reason) or even effects with lights. We are using here the passive infrared technology which is working with tmeperature changes.
Means such kind of possible false alarms can trigger the police or security service which causes some useless costs and trouble.
Therefor it is good to use the recommended motion sensors of the security system which may use another detection technology.
So I would recommend to seperate the systems (alarm and building management).
I would not recommend to use only the motion sensor of the security system for building management puposes.
Because in case you get the information from the security system that a motion sensor is tripped you may not know the local conditions like e.g. brightness, when the motion really occured the last time to start a staircase time and many other feature of our motion devices. As well controlling lights by one channel and HVAC with a second channel needs to be realised seperately somehow. Not that easy ... be carefull with that.

Hello @Thomas_Rohde and thanks for your valuable information.
So I will use a separate intrusion system and integrate it with KNX, while the customer wants to use the Alarm motion to turn off the AC when the office is not occupied (to save some money instead of installing a new KNX Motion).
and we already integrated the AC by the intesis DK RC which has the occupancy function on it, and I will just link the Alarm motion signal with the Occupancy function in the intesis (This is what I am thinking about)
so do you have any recommendations or advice regarding this point

Hello nasser_ic-systems,
as long as the alarmsystem share always the information "motion detected" independent of the status (armed/disarmed) it should work like that,
