Wiser4KNX LSS100100 Widget improvement request
Hi everyone,
I’d like to raise a topic regarding the Touch Config app
Currently, when configuring widgets in the Touch Config app, there’s no clear indication of the expected Data Point Type (DPT). This makes it difficult to know what data format is required, particularly when working with multi-bit objects like HVAC modes or fan speed controls.
In contrast, other systems like Thinka or ETS provide DPT references (e.g., 9.001 for temperature, 1.100 for mode), which helps streamline integration and reduce trial-and-error testing.
My questions:
Is there any existing documentation that outlines the expected DPTs for each widget or function in the Touch Config app?
If not, would it be possible to consider a feature enhancement where DPT types are displayed during configuration—perhaps next to the object name?
This would be especially helpful for remote commissioning scenarios, where knowing the DPT upfront could eliminate unnecessary testing and scripting.
Looking forward to your thoughts and any guidance on where this might already be documented—or how to formally submit this as a feature request.
Your point is very valid. There are a few improvements I have requested to the team to improve the ease of use..., also linked to which objects are mandatory for App and for the touch and the revalidation of the "verify for App "and "verify for touch" buttons, as we found a case where the validation is not correct.
I hope we can soon plan these tasks. As soon as we have them ready, we'll let you know.
Thanks for the suggestions
Fernando Zetina
