Hi, I use dimmer mentioned above. Is possible somehow program switch Off by DIM (or "soft Off")? I mean I need my lamps switching off slowly during 4 seconds, changing brightness. My lamps switching On slowly, during 4 seconds changing brightness from 0 to 100%, but switching Off in a second.
I did not find any switching off logic/curve correction, just dimming times. I set all to 4 sec in my case, but not working as I need. Is it possible by device?
FW version is 3.12. KNX settings in attach.
Thank you.

Hello Alexander_Remteks,
I quickly checked it and on my side it is working. So I have (unfortunately in German) the same parameter then you (Dimm object switches Channel => On and Off). As you can see in the telegram logging ... the relative dimming telegram "dimm down" is given to the bus (marked in yellow) and some time later the dimmer switches off and sends the dedicated status for FB Switch and Value Obj.
Can you share with me your ETS-Project?

Hello Alexander,
is this the "effect" you are looking for?
It is obtained simply by modifying the execution times of a switch command as you have set in the parameters.
In my example I have extended the time to 6s for better video recording.
Dimming object switches channel Dimming object switches channel forces you to keep your sensor button pressed.

Hi Thomas, KNX (ETS 6.2) project part regarding dimmer in attach. Info to dimmer is sent from sensor. I decided that sensor setting is the problem, check solution with KNX button, works anyway not correctly - lights switching On during 4 sec as needed but switching off momentarily.

Hello Alexander_Remteks,
I made intensive tests, updated my device to your FW-Version, used your ETS-Project with your Group-Adresses but on my side it is working as expected.
Attached you will find a little video which shows how the light bulb properly dimms up and down in the configured time of 4 seconds.
Are you sure about the connected load?
Did you tried, as a reference, to use a normal light bulb? To exclude any strange LED-Light behaviour.

Hi there!
I did have the same problem with ignoring the dimming times, but it seems almost to work after upgrading to firmware 3.12.0.
Did anyone tried higher values for the timing or does know what the maximum is?
I'm trying to simulate a sunrise, but getting weird behavior
2:48.0: works (but seems to be faster than it should be)
2:48.8: starts with (I think) 100% for a short time, than dimming up from the minimum
3:48.0 (or other higher values): no dimming, 100% immediately
According to the application the maximum should be 99:59.9. Maybe some kind of overflow?
Currently I am using global dimm timing for scenes (sorry, also in German):
But it's the same when sending static values to object 8, or configuring it on the channel (scene or switching doesn't matter).
Also I didn't test the other direction in detail, but dimming down seems to work with higher values.
Maybe someone has an idea.
Best,
Daniel

Hi Daniel_Becker!
We tested what you have reported and so we can confirm that there is a bug within the FW.
It seems that no one used this feature since the products are on the market!!
MANY THANKS for the feedback!
The bug is listed an will be solved with one of the next Firmware-Releases.
