LSS100200 KNX CONTROL

HELLO COMMUNITY,

Does anyone knows if it is possible from LSS100200 to use the input from a KNX button and use it to control an output without making any changes to the ETS software.

It will be good to have an example of the solution.

Thank you in advance.

Only when the objects of the devices are already mapped to group addresses.

In that case you can attach an event based script to the object / address of the button and use a command like grp.write('1/1/2', event.getvalue()) to control the actuator.

There are much more options in script by using tags for example.

However this is possible, i would strongly advise to keep mappings to group addresses in ETS as now your communication is relying on the controller where the power of KNX with the direct device to device communication is lost..

Thanks Erwin,

So the best think is to create groups on ETS and use them from LSS100200.

Normally you program as much as possible in the ETS to have the best robustness you can get, devices perform their task completely independent and decentralized (OK the PSU is your weakness here)

Any additional logic that sometimes is impossible to create in the product applications and a visualization layer (web/app) can only be done in a additional controller like the LSS100200, so there you must create additional stuff that is impossible to do within the ETS.

Anyway that is my 50ct…
