If your meter switched from kW/kWh to MW/MWh, update your Modbus scaling: confirm register 3256’s data type (16-bit vs 32-bit float), endianness, and new multiplier (often ×1000 when moving k→M). Recheck the latest register map—some meters change the engineering units register or use a separate register for energy vs power (kW vs kWh). In your SCADA/PLC: set 32-bit float if required, apply the new unit multiplier, and verify by comparing the front-panel value to the polled value.
