SmartConnector Success Kit
All,
I have created a comprehensive SmartConnector success kit for use at the sales stage, execution stage, and maintenance stage of SmartConnector projects.
It includes:
- What is a SmartConnector and when to use it?
- Common architectures.
- Project Management and technical team considerations.
- "Gotchas" to watch out for.
- Sample task list for project execution.
- Detailed install steps.
- Using Swagger and Postman for API calls.
- Support resources.
This kit is the culmination of real-world project experience, from start to finish. I hope it helps!
THIS KIT PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE OF RESULTS. THE AUTHOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS KITS CONTENTS AND THEY ARE NOT REGUALRY UPDATED. REFER TO THE OFFICIAL SMARTCONNECTOR MANUALS FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION. FOR SYSTEM ARCHITECT SUPPORT, CONTACT YOUR TSM OR CREATE AN OPPORTUNITY REQUEST.
Updates:
-12/11/23: Added additional signed certificate steps to SmartConnector Guide.docx.

@RandyBrooks there is already an External Log Storage option in EBO 5.0 and later that allows trends, alarms and events to be sent to MSSQL

Hello @Daniel_Cerone, in the guide you made is mentioned that SQL and SmartConnector are to be installed on the same server; whether that is a dedicated SmartConnector server or an ES.
If that is not possible for client policies, is there a way to work with a new empy SQL Database in a Shared Instance on a remote server?
They gave me this information for the deployment:

The 'SmartConnector Installation and Configuration Guide - EcoStruxure Building Operation' states (on the last page) that the latest supported Windows Server OS is Server 2019. Is this up to date (as Enterprise Server already supports Server 2022)?
