Questions concerning ES upgrades with SmartConnector

We have StruxureWare version 2.0.3 (ES and ASPs) installed at a customer's site using SmartConnector version 2.4.23. We will have to upgrade the customer's ES and ASPs to version 2.0.4 to install a hotfix to solve a hardware issue they are experiencing unrelated to SmartConnector.

Will SmartConnector be effected by this upgrade? I assume that behind the scenes SmartConnector is just using EWS to communicate to the ES and ASPs, so I don't expect there to be any issues. Are there any major changes when upgrading to 3.0?

Hi Brian,

There are no major EWS changes between EBO 2.X and EBO 3.X, and each version has been tested to be compatible with Smart Connector's EWS libraries.

There should not be an issues.
