Assuming most people now have this update, has anyone noticed anything detrimental?
In other words, is it safe to un-firewall my system and allow it to update?
(I've decided I'm doing all future updates on my schedule - not Schneider's 🙄 )

Hi Phil. I have systems in two different houses running for about 18 months and have done my fair bit of contribution. I'm generally happy with the functionality but there seems to be persistent shortfalls (inability with Opentherm, a complete tin ear to suggested improvements and bugs and lately a frequent loss of insights data grip my whatsits in particular).
i have a bad feeling that there is no roadmap for future product development.
They seem to be ignoring the community - the very people who give enough of a whoopsy to contribute issues and suggestions and make this blog relevant which also provides the manufacturer with a valuable route to improve the product (if only they could clock that). It feels like having sold the kit they don't give a monkey's.

I hadn't noticed the hub had been upgraded, so in that respect, no issues.
Looking at the app, the Hub is showing a much better signal strength, it was previously showing 2 bars, but is now showing 4 bars. This could be entirely coincidental though.
2 Channel Hubᴿ, 9x iTRVs, 1x Roomstat and 1x Smartplug/Repeater. (UK)

I'd definitely recommend you update to this version. It's been long awaited by a number of us who have been experiencing the hub intermittently disconnecting from WiFi and taking hours to recover itself and reconnect. It doesn't completely fix the disconnections, but I can confirm that instead of being offline for hours when it does, it now reconnects itself in 5 minutes, which is a massive improvement for those of us that have been experiencing the disconnections.

Yes, I've been following the discussion in the Home Assistant thread and noted the WiFi issues that were being reported. Other than when it was first installed (3 years ago now), I've not had WiFi issues. I don't recall if it was re-jigging of the WiFi channels, or firmware updates that fixed it.
I tried Home Assistant (in a Windows Virtual Machine) and had it running successfully. However, this did appear to introduce occasional connectivity issues - though not show-stoppers. I put it down to the rather low default polling interval. (I speculated that the Hubᴿ was being a bit overwhelmed, but I didn't do any serious investigating).
As a general principle, I'm not happy with Schneider pushing out updates - with no user involvement and no fallback procedure. (In the past, they rolled out one which broke the hot water scheduling...)
(At some point my Hubᴿ will need to go online - the "system time" is synchronised directly with Schneider's cloud services - via an encrypted channel ☹️ ).

As anyone actually got this update?
I un-firewalled my system and restarted it about 36 hours ago and .... nothing!
It is still running Version: 3.10.8-fb3437180f (reported as 3.10.8 in the App).
The Wiser 'blog' hasn't been updated to say it's been withdrawn...
