error in SCADAPack Workbench 6.6.8a installation while downloading vs_sioshell from Microsoft

Hi

When running the SCADAPack Workbench setup on Windows10 21H2 , the installer times out on downloading "Visual Studio 2013 Isolated Shell".  I found the installer for "Visual Studio 2013 Isolated Shell " in "SCADAPack E IEC 61131-3 Workbench and Utilities - 8.19.1\SCADAPack_E_DVD_8.19.1\Workbench\Prerequisites\Visual Studio 2013 Isolated Shell" and ran it in an attempt to install the package independently but I get an error saying "Windows Program Compatibility is on. Turn it off and try Setup again". I checked the program compatibility and it does not seem to be on. Does anyone know what might  be causing this and how to go about fixing the issue.

It took us a while but we managed to find the issue. This error happens because the VS installers have not been named correctly. To get around this issue:

Rename  the two files in “\SCADAPack_E_DVD_8.19.1\Workbench\Prerequisites\Visual Studio 2013 Isolated Shell” from:

Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Isolated.exe
KB VS12-KB3107629.exe

To:

vs_isoshell.exe
VS12-KB3107629.exe

respectively.

After the files have been renamed, run each of them separately to install the VS shell.

Then run setup.exe from SCADAPack E IEC 61131-3 Workbench and Utilities - 8.19.1\SCADAPack_E_DVD_8.19.1 and run Install SCADAPack E util and Workbench.
