RemoteConnect Replace Variables Does Not Work SCADAPack X70
I've got a problem with RemoteConnect where I need to change the logic variable and modbus data type for many objects. I export the project to an excel file, make the changes, then import the modified excel file. When I try to build the logic and download to the PLC I get an error that the logic editor is missing variables for objects in the object data base. The error message says to use the Replace Variables button to replace them. I can press this button but it doesn't seem to do anything and the error persists. I've tried the import/replace with the logic editor open and closed. With the editor open I don't get the usual prompt to accept the changes and when the editor is closed no changes seem to be made.
I can change the data types from remote connect and that seems to work most of the time but there are a few problems. First, there are a couple hundred objects that have to be changed. Second even when I am changing them from RemoteConnect every once in a while I get the same problem where the change doesn't get pushed to the logic editor and the Replace Variables button doesn't fix it.
