RemoteConnect R2.5.1 for SCADAPack x70 now available on SHOP

We are pleased to announce that RemoteConnect™ R2.5.1 for SCADAPack™ x70 is now available for download from SHOP.

RemoteConnect provides a flexible, easy-to-use programming and configuration environment for the SCADAPack x70 RTU series, which is comprised of the SCADAPack 470, 474, 570, 574 and 575 Smart RTUs.

New features in this update include:

SCADAPack 57x and 47x support for IEC 60870-5-104 protocol.
EFB Toolkit v14 supported by the logic editor. This feature allows adding custom C function blocks to the logic library, for use by SCADAPack x70 applications.
SCADAPack 47x and 57x support for 5505 RTD analog-input modules.
SCADAPack 47x and 57x support for 5410 counter-input modules.
SCADAPack 47x support for 6602 HART module with a limited feature set.
NETINFO command to provide additional diagnostics of IP connections.
Geo SCADA Import option for the SCADAPack 47x platform.
XEF and ZEF file formats added to the "Import Logic Project" option.
Support for SCADAPack 57x version 4 hardware in Boot loader and firmware.
GETDNPROUTE command to show DNP3 routes.
Software watchdog for logic tasks to improve behavior if a logic program contains an infinite loop or executes for an unexpected long time.
Support for side-by-side operation with Control Expert 15.
DNP3 device profile documentation updated.
Porting Guide for 'SCADAPack E-to-SCADAPack RemoteConnect' added to the documentation.

Do you know if the licence model for the EFB Toolkit has altered? When I was last involved with it, it had quite a high yearly subscription cost to it. Which doesn't quite fit with the 'free' delivery model of RemoteConnect.

It would be nice if that EFB Toolkit was part of Master Alliance partner licencing though... end-users themselves wouldn't often have a need for such a 'toolkit'.

Is there an ETA on the Itris Converter for the Older SCADAPac PLCs?

Hi Bevanweiss,

As SCADAPacks are intimately integrated with Geo SCADA Expert, I felt that I could catch a few Geo SCADA users that might not have been subscribed to either the SCADA & Telemetry Blog or the SCADA & Telemetry Devices forums.

For your EFB Toolkit question, thank you for that and I will ask the Product Manager for clarification.

Note: Although our SCADAPack products are not listed yet on the list of supported PLCs, we have just been added.

The EFB Toolkit is not a part of the SCADA & Telemetry product offering and as such I have no information on its current licensing/purchasing model.

You would need to contact your local Schneider Electric sales team and they can inquire on your behalf. The Schneider Electric part number is: UNYSPUZFUCD80.
