Product suggestion

Hi all.....

 

 

I have an requirement for a PLC and I'm mentioning the specs below..

 

1. 12V DC supply

2. The I/O's are 15-AI

                          10-DI

                          10-DO & with 20% spare i need nearly 45 I/O's.

3.It should be more compact than scadapack 357.

It's not very easy to get high IO count in a small form factor.

And a SCADAPack 357 isn't a huge package.

 

Perhaps the slice IO type of PLCs from either Siemens (IM151-8/ET200SP series), or the Rockwell CompactLogix 5480 series.

Some of the Tier 2 vendors such as Wago / Phoenix Contact also have similar PLCs (generally based on Codesys logic engine)

 

You haven't mentioned any particular needs for protocol support, so any of these would be valid.

You'd need to double check on the voltage aspect.  Most PLCs are 24VDC.  Although you could generally use a 24V power supply (even with a 12V battery you can still get 24V UPS supplies that only require a single 12V battery).
