Ladder Format Too Old to be processed by this version of Telepace error

Hi everyone. I am trying to open some LAD files in Telepace Studio 5.3.1 and I keep getting this error:
Ladder Format Too Old to be processed by this version of Telepace error. Please load the file in Telepace 3.30 or greater, save it, and try again. Does anyone have any ideas of how I can access this code?

Hello Brittany,

The full answer to your issue is to install our most-recent version of the original Telepace, which I believe is 3.40 (not Telepace Studio), open the project in that version, and save it. You'd then be able to import it into Telepace Studio.

The only issue is that Telepace won't run on any OS newer than Windows XP.  If you have an XP machine, or can set up a VM running it, I could help you acquire a copy of Telepace 3.40. That would be the way to go if you have multiple old Telepace applications to upgrade.

From what I've been told, the latest version of Telepace Studio (5.4.2) should be able to open most LAD files. If you don't have 5.4.2 it's available on our website at:

If that doesn't work for you, here is a link to the older TelePACE version 3.40 (pre-Studio version). This link will however expire in 6 months, so if it's not working I suggest you contact our Tech Support team for an updated link.
