[Imported] Siemens S7-1200 polling Accutech base radio

**_AA: I understand it is not really modicon modbus but can be beaten to work. Does anyone have any tips?_**

mchartrand: The Siemens S7-1200 would need to talk Modbus RTU via an RS-485 connection in order to poll data from the base radio.

**_AA: Right. I am hoping someone can advise of bit and word order as well as any offset used and if they use the 4 in 40k registers or not._**

mchartrand: There are two possible addressing modes. You need to refer to the user manual for the correct Modbus register addresses for whichever mode you select. You will need to download and install Accutech Manager (free of charge) in order to get to the .chm user manual.

**_AA: I hear that base radio firmware 1.86 will have word order selections supporting 1234, 3412, 2143 and 4321 which will make most these type integration issues go away. 4321 is used by Thermo AutoPilot legacy versions where comm parameters are not selectable. These selections are made from the pushbuttons on the base radio._**

mchartrand: I've been advised by our Software engineers that this is correct.
