[Imported] SCADAWave (Trio) Custom Frequencies?

This is a re-posting from the obsoleted (October 2018) "Schneider Electric Telemetry & SCADA" forum.

---------------

**_elmauz:
There is trouble on our SCADA application on our country, since the authority denied the use of our existing radio frequency. And as far as I know your SCADAWave [Trio] radios work on frequency 900 MHz and 2,4 GHz. At this frequency that radio modem will not accepted for use by the authority. However, we have been allowed by the authorities to use 320 - 390 MHz radios. So, is this is possible to buy your radio on customized frequency?_**

-----------------------

mchartrand:
Hello,
We do not have custom frequencies for our SCADAWave radios. They are restricted to the 450MHz licensed and 900MHz and 2.4GHz unlicensed ranges at this time.

If you could please email me with more details, I could forward your requirements to our Product Line Management Team for further comment.

So what is your email? Actually, the applicable for the new radios is require : - Frequency range 320 - 290 MHz - Have ethernet port - Possibilities for data rate up to 512 kbps (we will apply Snap shot CCTV for security reason) - Possible to be certified by our telecom regulatory body._**

______________

Jonathan20:
Hi,

Schneider electric is asking for the specific frequency that varies between 320-390 MHZ licensed frequency. For example 340.2 MHZ RX/TX.

But the customer has their own software to configure this certain frequency when trio radio is handled by datacomm.

Right now, the end-user still want to configure the radio by their software even they will provide 340.2 Mhz.

If we give specific frequency to schneider electric 340.2 MHZ and our customer will use 370 MHZ, what will be the effect on the signal? How much percentage will be the loss?

jweder:
Hello Jonathan,

It is not possible to program any of our Trio radios to 340 MHz. Our radios currently are only capable of operating in the following ranges:

Licensed Radios
E Series: 370 to 518 MHz
M Series: 380 to 520 MHz
Q Range: 400 to 520 MHz

License-Free Radios
J & K Series: 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz ISM bands
(exact frequencies vary depending on region)

By the way, we are no longer using the name "SCADAWave" for our radios. Instead we simply use the name "Trio" for that product line.
