I am having a pain of a time with this.
RemoteConnect 3.0.3 and EcoStruxure 15.3 (logic editor) for a Scadapack.
I have RemoteConnect and the Logic Editor open.
I create an object in RemoteConnect, how do I get it to appear in the logic editor?
Or the other way, if I create an object in logic editor, how do I get it to appear in RemoteConnect?
Sometimes the Replace Variables button is enabled in RemoteConnect and I use that, but most of the time that button (and every other button in the Scadapack x70 Logic section is disabled (except the Close Editor button).
I have to keep closing and reopening my project to get the Replace Variables button to be enabled, which is a real pain and time waster.
What is the right way to do this?

If you create a new object in RemoteConnect's Object database, be sure to assign it with a Logic Variable Type of one of the T_SPx70 types. That will ensure that it's shared with Logic Editor.
Typically if you're creating a variable in Logic Editor it'll be an Elementary type, with no need to sync with RemoteConnect. But if for some reason you do want to create Derived variables in Logic Editor and then share them with RemoteConnect, here's how to do it:
1) First, ensure the project has been Saved in RemoteConnect. This is critical.
2) Now, in Logic Editor you can create the required variables, and assign them a T_SPx70 type. If you're not sure what type to choose, click the [...] "ellipsis" button in the Type column, then look in the Application folder. For example, the type could be T_SPx70_REAL, or T_SPx70_BOOL etc...
3) Back in RemoteConnect, on the SCADAPack x70 Logic page of the Configuration tab, click the "Update & Build Logic" button.
4) Now, in the appropriate area of the Object Configuration page, you'll see the new object.

I'm sorry to hear you're having such troubles with this. Rather than go back and forth slowly here on the forum, I suggest you contact our Global Support Team. They will need to see a copy of your exported project, and will want to know the RTU type and firmware version in the RTU.
