I work on many Scada systems that are equipped with 300 series Scadapacks. Now it looks like 300 series are no longer supported and I must upgrade to 400 or 500 series. These new scadapacks only work with remote connect software as far as I'm aware. Is there any way to easily convert my telepace studio project to remote connect when I replace one of the 300 series scadapacks? Some of these programs are large and would take a while to rewrite from scratch. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Just to reiterate what Joel has says, we're looking to officially launch a conversion service for legacy Telepace Studio logic to RemoteConnect logic at the end of June 2021 and will announce it through our regular channels, including Exchange forums like this. And as Joel has said, this logic conversion will be done via an online service and not a standalone app.
We appreciate that existing users, wanting to upgrade to the more powerful feature set of our newer SCADAPack x70 RTUs, will be impacted by the migration away from Telepace logic to RemoteConnect logic. With this in mind, we have worked hard to provide a path forward with this service that will make things easier for users when functioning legacy logic needs to be ported over to the new RTUs.
Thank you for your continued support and use of our products.
Regards,
Martin Chartrand

Matt I fell your pain. We, Duke Instrument Service, have been servicing the Alabama, Mississippi, parts of Florida for 35+ years. Our systems use the 300 series also. When this change came about last year, around April, I began calling the Tech people I know and asked the same questions about a converter. We have had conference calls with many upper heads about this matter, and only promised that they are working on the converter. One of my points to the people we have talked to is that we have thousands of the units out in the field, some with over 100 networks, PID functions and other special code. You did the best thing and that is joining this forum, that is what I did from my tech people recommendations. I could tell you a lot more about this but this what maters in a nut-shell.
HOLD ON AND SPREAD THE WORD

There is indeed a converter. We've been doing a lot of beta testing on it and so far it's been operating fairly well. I don't have word on when access to it will be made available, but we'll post here as soon as we can. It'll be an online tool rather than an installable app.
P.S. I did want to comment about the 300 series RTU's. They are still being supported, no worries about that, and will continue to be supported well into the future, by Tech Support and our repair team. What's changing is that we're phasing out sales of the older models.

From what I understand our suppliers have told use that they can no longer get the 300s series anymore. For new applications this is fine but I am mostly concerned about failures and needing to replace an older unit. Luckily we've have had pretty good luck in terms of reliability on the 300 series. I'm glad to hear that a conversion service is in the works. Thanks for all the help.

Good day,
was such a tool ever released? I cannot seem to find it. If so, would you be so kind to lead me to it?
Thanks

Nope. For a little while they offered a$1000 service to convert the code for you but it didn't work properly so they stopped doing it. I've been told that theyre working on a new tool but who knows when it will be out and what it will cost. It's kind of ridiculous that this is the option I have. So many of my customers are on 300 series with no backup plan and Schneiders only suggestion is to upgrade to 400 series and reprogram everything. At this point were switching to AB Micro800 because if I have to reprogram is anyway I'd rather use better software than remote connect.

The automated tool is available now. Reach out to your local SCADAPack manufacturer's rep and they will be able to give you pricing and information. Cheers!

Hello...
Yes, the conversion tool has been available for some time now. A document is attached which discusses how to find the conversion tool and a bit about how to use it. As it appears you're in Montreal, please contact SFC Energy to purchase a license for the conversion tool.
