Easergy T300 - Automatic Transfer Source

Hi All, 

How many of you know that Easergy T300 is used as electronic device in order to perform Automatic Transfer source for MV switchgear applications ?

In case of MV power interruption without ATS

- If your industrial process is fed directly by a single MV supply, you need a MV back-up supply to avoid any power cut.
In this case, a manual start-up is needed. The power interruption’s length depends on the time needed for human intervention (switch and switch back).

- With ATS installed in the MV section
The power interruption is never longer than the set recovery time for switch and counterswitch operations. It is totally independent from any human intervention and the same recovery time is guaranteed.(less than 300ms)

An ATS system allows a critical load (such as a network section,a hospital, a shopping mall or a manufacturing plant) to have increased supply availability by switching between a primary and a backup supply.
• Automatically transfers between alternate supplies if one is lost
• Can be set to automatically return to the preferred supply when itis restored.

ATS algorithm available in Easergy T300 : 

1) ACO - Automatic transfer between 2 MV lines
2) GEN - Automatic transfer with a standby generator
3) BTA - Automatic transfer and coupling

Auto Transfer Switch application is controlled by the module HU250 module and so activated globally for all the SC150
modules of Easergy T300 for operations on switches.

Hello Tony,

With the new release v2.7 of the T300, the ATS_ACO is native inside the firmware, and it's useless to download files.

To activate the ATS_ACO, first add this feature thanks to T300Generator, than select this function in the webpages of the HU250 settings.

For the others ATS, like the  ATS-GEN and the ATS_BTA, it is still mandatory to download the corresponding Isagraf programs.
