Easergy P3 FW30.204 launch letter

This is a pre-info about coming FW30.204 release. The exact launch data is conditional to the production line set-up in Latvia and China. Expectation of the production release is in the middle February 2021.

The FW30.204 release contains the support for the integrated arc flash protection modules together with the LPCT & LPVT interface in P3F30 and P3M30 relays. This functionality simplifies the design and commissioning of the MV protection schemes due to lesser product references, stock optimization capability, easier and lighter installation.

The phase rotation configuration from the ABC to ACB phasor rotation is now selectable in the scaling setting view. This setting has impact to both voltage and current signals. This setting become available to P3U30, P3F30, P3L30, P3M30 and P3G30. User can now conveniently change the phase rotation in the Scalings view in case the primary network wiring is more challenging to be re-configured manually.

Furthermore, this release has a VT location selection for the generator and transformer blocks in P3G32 relay. By means of the VT selection parameter the voltage transformer (VT) can locate now either in between the generator and block transformer or at the high voltage side of the power transformer.

The Ethernet IP communication protocol is restored back to Easergy P3 in this release.

For the transformer differential relay, P3T32, the secondary current signal curve representation is improved. Together with the up-date new CT sizing instruction are introduced and available in up-dated user manuals.

The line differential relay, P3L30, indeed has new CT sizing instructions. You are advised to study these new instructions prior committing new projects.

This release contains IEC61850 and Modbus parameter up-dates for the circuit breaker monitoring function. The firmware supports now the Alarm setting and Operation left parameters.

Switch-on-to-fault (SOTF) and Auto-recloser functionalities are further been improved based on the feedback from customers.
