Our system is showing CPU error XPSMCMC10804, losing communication with the Modbus Expansion Module, without any specific event, with or without interconnected field devices. We performed tests with the Modbus RTU Expansion Module (XPSMCMCO0000MB) and also with the Modbus TCP/IP Expansion Module (XPSMCMCO0000EM). We performed simple programming to monitor switches and activate solenoid valves.
Our topology has the following devices:
XPSMCMC10804
XPSMCMAI0400
XPSMCMDI1600
XPSMCMDO00042A
XPSMCMDO0004S
HMIST6500
We recently performed some bench tests, removing HMI, Switch, and combining modules, where we discovered that in the tests without the analog modules, the communication failure error does not occur. We performed other tests with the analog modules and without the program, and in this test the error also does not occur.
There is no fault diagnosis that indicates where and why this fault occurs.
I believe that this community and its professionals will be able to share their experiences and elucidate this problem.
