ANSI 87BB (High impedance busbar differential) in Powerlogic P5F30

Hello everyone,

In the manual section of Powerlogi P5F30 series relays, it appears that ANSI 87 BB (High impedance busbar differential) protection can be done.

Required conditions;
11. Only available with conventional (phase or neutral) CTs.
12. Function can be realized by application guidelines.

However, when the appropriate relay is selected, ANSI87 protection does not appear under the Protecton tab in the E-setup easergy Pro software.

How do we do 87BB (High impedance busbar differential) protection in the P5 relay?

Hello @sungur

Normally, a instantaneous overcurrent / earth fault element is used for high impedance protection

As described in the application note, Overcurrent element I>1 can be used for 87BB.

There is no specific 87BB element.

Regards,

Arun
