NEMA 5-20 vs 5-15 type plug compatibility
I have a furman power conditioner that has a NEMA 5-20 male plug on it.
My backups unit which I plan on plugging this into has a NEMA 5-15 female plug. How can I know if it's safe to use a 5-20 -> 5-15 adapter for this? I read online that some devices are fine with the conversion as long as you don't go above 15A (unit is rated for 20A). I have the manual in case that is useful.
