Dear All:
I have a case. Please see the picture below. It is allowed to use NSX-L type for distribution load protection. Why dose NSX-HB1 type is mandatory used for motor load under the same transformer? the system voltage is 500V. If you need the original file please let me know. chi.yang@se.com
Thanks a lot in advance.

Dear Chi,
Thanks for the given project file for the analysis.
For your information, the selection of ‘motor starter(s) and the possible protection device(s)’ are defined as a coordination, by the line of business. Ecodial is making the selection based on the same.
For the network voltage ; 500 volts
For the motor ratings of ; 22 kW or 30 kW
For the startup type; DOL type
For the thermal Protection Type, as 'integrated or separated', and
based on the selection of coordination; there are only a few possible solutions available.
Type 1 |
Type 2 |
GV3L 40 GV3L 50 GV3P 40 GV3P 50 NSX 100* MA 50 * Micrologic 2.2-M 50A * Micrologic 6.2 E-M 50A |
GV3L 40 GV3L 50 GV3P 40 GV3P 50 NSX 100 HB1 MA50 * Micrologic 2.2-M 50A * Micrologic 6.2 E-M 50A NSX 100 HB2 MA50 * Micrologic 2.2-M 50A * Micrologic 6.2 E-M 50A |
So, You will be getting the result from one this possible solution.
Thanks & Regards,

Dear Chi,
To comment on the image, enclosed by you.
There is no relationship (Or an influence) between the 'protection device' proposed for the load circuits over the motor circuits.
