Minimum Generator Capacity

Hi,

I have installed Ecodial INT 5.0.2 and I saw that minimum generator capacity in the system is 16 kVA, any idea what should I do when my load requires less than 16 kVA?

Can you please kindly explain the ‘application or system’ that you are trying to design using the Ecodial software.

The Ecodial is mainly used for the ‘low voltage electrical network design’ for a ‘commercial, industrial and residential buildings.’

As the segment of positioning is buildings; we hope you are not trying to make a design for any other application segment.

If you think, is there any specific low voltage ‘generator rating’ can be added to the software?

Then kindly please make a proposal with the list of ratings.

The same will be discussed with the ‘product development’ and prioritized for the next release.

Hello,

Mostly my designs are for commercial and industrial. In some cases, I get extraordinary request to validate something e.g. to size generator with one or two small motors for water pumping system in remote area.

I prefer generator from CAT and the smallest capacity CAT has are (3 phase only, 1500 rpm)
