Am I the only one who is frustrated with the EPC tool?

Working for a Panel builder, together with a few colleagues we have been using EPC on a daily base, to do commissioning of connected and Smart devices.

I must say that my experiences with EPC are disappointing.  The program rarely works flawless. I encounter very often crashes, errors of all kind, or it is stuck in an infinite loop. I have to force-stop EPC and restart it, and pray that is works for a while. I am constantly checking to be working with the last version!  I completely reinstalled EPC several times, but it remains unpredictable. And Yes there have been improvements over the years, but Working with EPC remains time and nerve consuming!

Some of the error messages:

-Unauthorized 

-Unrecognized Guid format

-Unable to read I/O settings

-Unable to write to the devive

-Our Backend Servers are not responding.

-Etc...

I don't know if anybody else has the same experience and if anybody has any solutions to improve this?

The Build-in Help function doesn't get me any further, and the local support is sadly not very reactive.

No, you are not alone.

Everything is so slow... if it even works.

What you think should take 1h ends up taking x4 times as long.

Working mostly with MTZ,NSX,Gateways.

Hi,

For me, as I am commissioning train stations, which has several panel servers in place, like average of 10-14 panel servers per station, its frustrating that at the middle of the commissioning works, after like several panel servers already added on the project, EPC always tends to fail in generating a report ("failed to generate report") however, the communications test shows everything passed. 

In order to push with the commissioning, I am creating a new project to commission the remaining panel servers. At the end of the day, I cannot create a project report because of this. So I always end up doing it manually using excel. 

Would be nice if this can be resolved on the next patches, its becoming frustrating.
