m580 PAC

I have a redundant system of Modicon M580CPU BMEH582040 due to some malfunctioning one PAC was changed with a new one. Now the redundancy feature is not working. How to solve the issue? Now the hardware are as under:

Primary : Modicon M580CPU BMEH582040 PV= 26    SV= V 3.22

Secondary : Modicon M580CPU BMEH582040 PV= 11    SV= V 2.90

(I don't know if it helps but there is no firmware file to upgrade SV= 2.90 to SV= 3.22 available on website)

Thanks in advance

Upgrade the firmware from the secondary CPU to SV 3.20.

(Modicon M580 BMEx58x0x0x Firmware SV03.20 | Schneider Electric)

Then verify that redundancy is applied.

1. Compatibility After Upgrade: Generally, after upgrading the firmware of the PAC, other modules connected to it should continue to work properly.

2.  Ethernet Module Upgrade: As for the Ethernet module (BMENOC0301 v2.20) that you replaced in the primary PAC rack, it is often a good practice to ensure that all modules in a system are running compatible firmware versions. Therefore, if the secondary rack's modules are running an older firmware version, it would be advisable to upgrade them to match the new version in the primary rack to avoid potential communication issues.

3. As below mentioned, "gcummings", I think it would be good to keep the CPU up to date.

Thank you Yongho-Kim for your time and reply. Since I am not well aware the Schneider environment. Is it possible that after firmware upgrade the other module connecting to PAC will not cause trouble? Both pac PV. = 26 and PAC PV=11 min?

Thank you Yongho-Kim for your time and reply. Since I am not familiar with Schneider environment, after software firmware upgrade will other modules connected to PAC work fine or not?

One PAC project version is =26 and other one is = 11.

Also one Ethernet module from primary PAC rack was changed with BMENOC0301 v2.20. does the module of secondary rack need upgrade also.

Each module will have it own firmware revisions. The best practice is to most always use the most recent. Unless it is the CPU and you need to update your I/O modules then you should stay at 4.10

Be sure you can still update the I/O with the newest ADM package with the latest CPU version. Prior to ADM ver 3.3.140 you could not update the I/O modules if your CPU was newer than 4.10.
