Quantum S908 HSBY to M580H migration via QSA 140CRA31908 adapter

Hi, I am preparing to perform a Quantum S908 HSBY system to a M580H migration, keeping the old S908 drops and using de 140CRA31908 adapters. I have the following questions:

1. Because the migration was originally from Concept to Control Expert, and then processed via UMAC, some things regarding the toplogy couldn't be mapped right. For instance, the original Concept CPU used a CHS redundancy card, and after the Concept to Control Expert conversion, the resulting Control Expert File included a Unity Quantum redundant CPU, instead of the original CPU and CHS. Then, after the UMAC conversion, it shows a non-redundant P584040 with just one 140CRA31908 drop.

2. Because I'm using dual 140CRA31908 adapters (replacing the Quantum CPUs), what should be the positions of the rotary switches of both adapters? should they be different? after all, this are now treated as X80 drops of the M580 system.

Thanks in advance

Jorge

My recommendation is to convert from Concept to Control Expert first keeping the Quantum Processors and IO and resolve all errors first. I think you have to change the processor yourself to a Quantum HSBY processor as the CHS module is not supported, if I recall the conversion tries to keep your original processor do a change processor and select one of the 140 CPU 67X XX processors. When you use UMAC, I believe there's a configuration setting for the processor, if not you should be able to change the processor after the conversion.

To answer your second question, one CRA will be set to drop 1 and the other set to drop 2. In control expert you'll treat both as regular EIO drops.
