Anyone have experience setup Ethernet I/P communication between M580 and FactoryTalk View via RSLinx? Any sample configuration available?

Hello Keithcchan
I took serval print screens that illustrate the required steps to add Ethernet I/P device and new EDS files and establish communication link.
but anyway I think the configuration could be implemented easily from the "FactoryTalk View" side if it supports the M580.

Yes you probably could but why would want to? Factory Talk View has a Modbus TCP driver so you can talk directly to M580 and avoid all the RSLynx garbage. That frequently breaks then your process is up a creek.
The drive uses either modbus or Control Expert addressing. So it would be much faster that an Ethernet IP scheme with Linx.

If you want to read unlocated tags, you would need to use OFS to provide PLC data via OPC. From that point I think it should possible to add it as an OPC data source into FTView.
