How to reset to factory state BMEP582040S (RED)

Hello everyone, the question is how to reset to factory settings BMEP582040S (RED). I tried the instruction for a regular 580 with a shift in slot 1 , it does not work . Thanks

I have modified the original post to correct the information.  


Clearing the password has worked every time I have done this method with the CPU.  - Make sure the memory card is removed.

If you wish to clear the memory try the clear back up option and then cycle power.
