Ecostruxure Control Expert AOI Input/Output

Hi, I haven't used Ecostruxure Control Expert before, but I'm trying to help a coworker. We have to make an "AOI" and We are trying to cap a HiHi SP input to the Scaled Value Max. We made the HiHi SP an Input/Output to be able to read/write, but it's not working as expected. This works for our BOOL input/outputs, but not the HiHi SP which is a REAL. We removed all logic inside the "AOI" for testing purposes to find this out. Is there a work around? We want to write to the SP in certain cases like out of range, but also let the operator write to it otherwise.
