X80 Analog channel scaling available in DDT

For the X80 analog modules scaling can be configured for each channel in Control Expert. Currently this scaling is not available in the logic. The idea is to make the scaling numbers available in Device DDT so they can be used in the logic. That would simplify  scaling analog values into engineering units.

I have developed a X80 Analog Scaling DFB, however it requires that the user manually enter the RAW scaling information from each channel. Th X80 Scaling DFB can extract the high limit and low limit Boolean which indicates that the limits have been exceeded.

I always leave the IO module scaling at default and use a scaling DFB that outputs the result to a new variable.

@dnordenberg1

That is what I do in most cases as well but unfortunately it is not that simple. I have mix of Quantum IO which is 0-4095 (and can't be changed) and X80 IO which is 0-10000 by default. Also sometimes I have to change default X80 to 0-4095 so I can use it in old 984 logic.

Have different analog scaling DFBs for each different IO? Or use a input for parameters like input range on a generic scaling DFB?
