Please make variable selection from code segments easier with "find as you type" like behaviour like (more like Machine Expert). You can start typing the first letters in the box, then you click the ... button and now you see matching variables flash by for a short moment but then the result is replaced by another filtering. I would like to have suggestions shown even before having to click the ... button but what is shown there is only a few last used variables, often not really that useful in my experience since most times what you are looking for isn't there yet. Also when you want to find variables inside a structure like a DDT, things are not fun at all. I have not figured it out if it is even possible to type to search inside a structure, even if "inside structure" is checked, it still just matches the instance name of the structure and not something that is inside a structure. The normal way in other software like Machine Expert would be like typing or selecting a structure instance and then type a dot and some more text but that isn't working no matter how you try to place wildcards and stuff like that.
Personally I find the easiest way to "overcome" this is to keep the "data editor" open and drag variables over to the code from there but it requires so much screen space so it is only possible with large screens.
