Save many EFBs and keystrokes for the programmer in the application. Allow the Scale Parameter to be REAL. Add a new Project Setting to maintain backwards compatibility if necessary.
The other option is to modify the Analog I/O Device DDT to include this information so that a EFB / DFB could be created to automatically scaled the value with process alarms similar to the blocks that are included for the Modicon Quantum Analog I/O. I have a X80 Analog Scaling DFB and use the General-Purpose Library to do the process alarming. The raw data from the analog configuration must be manually inputted to the DFB.
