In the configuration for a NOC module or a CPU Ethernet port there are numerous security configuration settings, these are all valuable settings but without opening the project configuration it is not possible to know if they have been set correctly(or at all)
I propose that the state of these settings be added to the device DTM (read only) so that the PLC system could report these settings or report if the required settings are not correct
Asset management is becoming an important part of PAC operations. To have a means to identify what settings are enabled and what is disabled is important for all people who manage cyber security and plant assets.
If this can be applied to all instruments, connected devices and edge devices with a standard template, we will have a unique advantage in terms of cyber security management.
