Hi,
The target market for the 8600 is North American utilities. These companies have verification periods determined by legislation, customer contracts, and or internal guide lines.
Typically this period is in the range of 5-10 years. While I'm not 100% sure what the current statement is in the past I have written documentation that states that the 8x00 will remain in specification for this time range. Note this not to be considered an extension of any warranty.
You should contact Sandra Pedro, utility offer manager for current recommendations.
