Power Quality at the Branch Circuit Level - Identify Problems before an Issue

Hello Exchange!

I would like to educate you on an exciting new product offer that is set to launch next year!  HDPM6000 - High Density Power Meter 6000

We are taking branch circuit metering to the next level with the ability to monitor up to 192 circuits and Power Quality features down to the branch circuit level and also including Busway Metering!

From recent customer case study of a multi-national telecommunications company, Verizon, they were able to provide us with some important feedback on why it is so crucial to monitor at the branch circuit level.

Verizon - Identifying Problems Before Crisis, PQ at Circuit Level

Customer Issue: On multiple occasions Verizon had rack-level outages caused by power supply failures

Problem: Customer dissatisfaction, Breach of SLA / $$$ compensation, Response time for resolution

Solution: By installing multi-circuit metering with WaveForm capture at the circuit level, this customer was able to identify a faulty power supply isolated down to the exact rack.  The facility manager was contacted right away and contractors were assigned to investigate the racks and found the A-side power supply to be inoperable, thus causing current spike / cause of threshold breach.

Value:

  • Proactive measures taken and cost savings in chasing faults
  • Customer satisfaction improved
  • Analytics to speed up RCA (vendor blames bad power, customer can point out issue)

For more information on this offer, please contact me by the direct message.
