Can a power meter with transient detection detect transients which have a duration less than the sample time? E.g. ION7650 can detect 20us transients and has a sample rate of 256/cycle.

The ION7650 comes standard with 512 samples/cycle or optional 1024 samples/cycle.
Impulse transients shorter than a sample period may sometimes be detected - if the sample aquisition happens to coincide with the transient event. The meter always reports transient durations in multiples of sample periods.

Thanks Dan.
(Australian Catalogue 2013/2014 incorrectly has the ION7650 as 256 samples/cycle).
