Last night we upgraded a PM5560 to firmware 2.3.0. Used FTP. Found out user2 pass2 worked for FTP. Power cycled the meter to initiate the upgrade. Once done BACnet options appeared. Very cool. BACnet and Modbus at the same time over Ethernet. Thanks Schneider-Electric.

Hi Michael,
Would you mind summarizing the application to explain why you are using the two protocols at the same time. It might be interesting to use it as an example in our documentation.
Thanks!

We have many applications where we need both PME and a BAS system need simultaneous data from our meters. Most of the time we need to use a ProtoNode, RTA or Babel Buster to get this to a BACnet system. Having Both on the same device at the same time saves on parts, getting another IP address and just downright make the job a snap.
Contact me with any other questions about this kind of deployment.

Hello Michael Michael Franz,
Just to clarify, the power meter communicates BACnet and Modbus both at the same time via Ethernet? OR is it one at a time (reconfigurable which protocol would communicate via Ethernet) OR Modbus via the serial port and BACnet via Ethernet? Thanks.

Dion:
Both at the same time over Ethernet. Beauty is PME and SBO at the same time. Try it yourself to confirm. There are real world applications for this.
