PM5000 product simulator with QR codes available on Promote and Sell

Hi guys,

I've just uploaded a product simulator for PM5000 meters on the "Promote and Sell" are of the community (Demos and Videos). This version has QR codes implemented, so it's the ideal way to get familiar with the feature and / or present it to customers without the need of having an actual meter with you.

The version is valid for 30 days.

Hi Bojar, this is the first time I hear about this error. I am talking with the developers to check if there's anything we can do. In the meantime, have you tried to install in a different computer? We do have the simulator installed on Windows 7 and it works.

Try again Poonam, I expect the issue was that you needed to be added to the Schneider group, which I have done.

Hi Daniel,

It is very good tool. It is not only for QR code, but also for programming.

When I scan the QR code for log1, log2 etc., it shows 404 nothing found at this URL. I guess it might be because of lack of data?

Hi Jixing, not really. Even with no data you should be directed to meterinsights.com. I will check what's going on and let you know.

I am in charge of managing the Meter Insights + QR code project

I can confirm that if the meter (or simulator in this case) has less than 2 entries in the Log, Meter Insights will report a 404 error.  This is because Meter Insights displays the incremental accumulation in a logging interval (between two consecutive logs) so can't compute this unless it has at least two logs.  We deemed this to be a special/rare case that would only appear if the meter was powered up for the very first time and someone attempted to scan within the first 30mins (assuming 15min logging interval).  Nevertheless, the defect has been logged should we decide to implement a more user-friendly error-handling approach.

Furthermore, if the simulator only generates to Logs, this will be represented as one bar of data as you've observed
