P5F30 with Modbus/TCP communication with PLC M580

Hello, how are you all?

I'm making an application with an M580 and a P5F30 relay in ModbusTCP communication. I would like to know if there is any control block ready to be used in the PLC logic. Grateful

I think that Generic Modbus DTM will be suitable but please check that the communication on P5 side is active

Hello Afvanin,

you have two methods,

the first approach is to use DTM and add a Modbus device on DTM browsers, then add a request to pull "Read" the data.

The second approach , uses one of communication blocks like Read_Var Block to read the data from P5 Relays , for more details please check the attached pdf

Hi @Mnabil.
Is there any specific DTM for the P5, or should I use the Generic Modbus DTM? Because I believe that doing it through the DTM, it is simpler to carry out the logic, instead of using READ_VAR.

Thank you very much!

Complex part is the control with open or close select object1 (registers 22500=1 or 22501=1) before execute selected type with register 22502 = 1.... it doesn't work sometimes.... We use READ_VAR and WRITE_VAR into our custom DFB Block
