Need CT Sensor suggestion for EM6400NG+

Hello Everyone,

I am testing the EM6400NG+ energy meter for energy logging, In my setup, I used SCT010 20A:20mA CT and 10A variable load. To start I started testing with a single phase supply and I am able to see voltage measurement on the device, I tried many combination setting to get the measurement of current, but still device shows zero reading. I am confused as to do I am using the right CT sensor or the wrong configuration. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Hello @kshnkmrjha

EM6400NG+ supports only the Ip/5A or Ip/1A secondary current CTs, the SCT010 is low voltage output CT and the EM6400NG+ will be able to measure the output of SCT010 CT.

You can test with any METSECT5xxxxx CT references listed from the Powerlogic catalog.

Hello Kirankumar,

Please confirm the CT secondary output current, if it 1A when the primary current 100A is applied. (no information available is web for this CT).

If yes, you can connect this CT with EM6400NG meter and configure the CT primary as 100A and secondary as 1A.

Please share the injected and measured current values if you see any difference.

Regards,

Ramasamy N
