Hi everyone!
Can you help and tell me what type of ION or PM meters (0.2 and 0.5 class) can support Fiber Optic port?
I know ION7X50 support Fiber Optic port but I don't know what other meters could have.
This is for a customer that wants to implement devices with FO port as a standard in his communication network (proteccion and metering). So I want to offer to him alternatives for meters with this type of port, also I have to consider other issues like power quality, price, etc. but first I want to know what are those meters.
Best Regards

Yes, but frankly, a common practice is to bring fiber into the substation or equipment room, and use a switch to convert to copper, RJ45, and distribute that to the various Ethernet devices. That way, the cost associated with the fiber connections is reduced and the installation is less expensive.

The ION8800 series and ION8650 series meters also have a fiber optic communications option.

Thank you Jhon,
ION7X50 with those meters (ION8800 and ION8650) are the only meters that support F.O. port? I guess for other meters I have to use a converter RJ-45-F.O., is that correct?
