FAQMobile Location Kit Is a battery needed for the Probe and the XRM Receiver?

In the instruction sheet of Vigilom Manual Fault Locator Kit, it is mentioned that the small probe XP15 as well as the XRM Receiver need a battery to work.

 

It is a battery of 6LR61 type.
